In Europe we are observing socio-cultural and socio-economic changes. Organisations in the disability sector are more and more frequently facing a specific group of people who are double discriminated against - people with disability with migrant background. During the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue year 2008 this project is facing the issue of double discrimination against migrants with disability, including their families equally discriminated. These people have the disadvantage of orienting themselves in a foreign society with different culture and at the same time have to face the challenges which come along with own disability.
In a trans national and multi-agent cooperation, an intercultural barrier-free model is to be developed, which should give and secure access to services for people with disabilities and migrants background, thus to counteracts social isolation and exclusion.
